Struggling with converting .yrm or other extensions to .map for Red Alert 2 or Yuri's Revenge? Look no further! Introducing a simple yet powerful Python script designed to bulk convert map files to the .map extension, ensuring seamless compatibility with your favorite strategy game. This script is a helpful tool for fans of Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge who encounter files with extensions other than .map. Often, custom maps or scenarios for these games may have extensions like .yrm or others, which aren't directly compatible. This script automates the process of converting such files to the .map extension, making them usable in the game. Here's how it works: Bulk Conversion: The script scans a specified directory containing Red Alert 2 or Yuri's Revenge map files. Identification: It identifies files with extensions other than .map, such as .yrm, .mpr, etc. Conversion: For each identified file, it makes a copy with the .map extension, ensuring the original files remain untouched. Progress Tracking: While processing, it displays a progress bar, indicating the number of files processed. Summary: At the end of the conversion process, it provides a summary of successful conversions, skipped files, and any failed attempts, along with reasons for failures. After some research, it's indeed what you're describing and known simply as the "ICBM Glitch." Yesterday, this guy Vermin (no screenshots this time) was also able to use this glitch but much more effectively so it's devastatingly game-breaking in the right hands. I came across quite a few videos on YT showing ways to execute it—not just with V3s either. It can also be done with Dreads too, which is even more disturbing. Can this also be done with Boomers too? It'd certainly add to the already long list of alarming reasons not to allow Yuri in FFGs. -

I'm new to the community here. Recently, I installed Funkyfr3sh's Tiberian Sun patch on my Windows 11 system to fix the menu problem, which worked like a charm. However, now I'm running into crashes whenever the post-game statistics pop up in campaign mode. It's a bit frustrating, and I'm curious if anyone else has encountered this or if there are any solutions floating around. Any help or pointers would be awesome! Thanks in advance.
